Era Finances Group maintains a robust Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) framework across all operating entities. We are committed to the highest standards of financial crime prevention and to full compliance with applicable AML/CTF legislation in every jurisdiction in which we operate.
Era Finances Group's AML/CTF programme is designed to comply with the UK Proceeds of Crime Act 2002, the Money Laundering Regulations 2017, the EU Anti-Money Laundering Directives, the Hong Kong AMLO, the Swiss AMLA, and the Cayman Islands Proceeds of Crime Act.
Each regulated entity within the group maintains its own AML/CTF policies and procedures, overseen by a designated Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO).
Era Finances Group applies Customer Due Diligence (CDD) measures to all clients and prospective clients before establishing a business relationship.
We verify the identity of all clients using reliable, independent source documents. For individuals, this includes government-issued photographic identification and proof of address. For corporate clients, this includes constitutional documents and evidence of ownership structure.
We identify and verify the identity of all beneficial owners of corporate clients — any natural person who ultimately owns or controls more than 25% of the shares or voting rights.
Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) is applied to higher-risk clients, including Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), clients from high-risk jurisdictions, and clients with complex ownership structures.
Simplified Due Diligence may be applied in limited circumstances where the risk of money laundering is demonstrably low, in accordance with applicable regulatory guidance.
Era Finances Group conducts ongoing monitoring of all client relationships, including scrutiny of transactions to ensure they are consistent with the client's known business and risk profile. Client records are reviewed on a risk-sensitive basis, and at least every three years for standard-risk clients.
For all clients, and particularly for high-value mandates, Era Finances Group obtains information on the source of funds to be invested and, where appropriate, the source of the client's overall wealth.
Era Finances Group has procedures for employees to report suspicions of money laundering or terrorist financing to the MLRO. The MLRO evaluates such reports and, where appropriate, makes a Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) to the relevant financial intelligence unit.
Era Finances Group screens all clients and counterparties against applicable sanctions lists, including those maintained by OFSI, the EU, the UN Security Council, and OFAC. Era Finances Group will not establish or maintain a business relationship with any sanctioned person or entity.
Era Finances Group retains all CDD documentation and transaction records for a minimum of five years from the end of the business relationship, or such longer period as may be required by applicable law.
The Board of Era Finances Group Ltd has overall responsibility for the group's AML/CTF framework. Day-to-day responsibility is delegated to the Chief Financial Officer and the MLROs of each regulated entity.
